A Snowy Adventure with Carter and Julia in Busse Woods

There’s something magical about snow-covered landscapes, and Busse Woods in Illinois delivered in every way during my recent session with Carter and Julia. The forest was transformed into a winter wonderland—a backdrop that photographers dream of.

Carter and Julia arrived bundled up in cozy scarves and matching gloves, their laughter warming up the frosty air. The way they looked at each other was enough to melt even the coldest day! We wandered through trails lined with snow-dusted trees, pausing occasionally to shake branches and send flurries into the air (yes, they’re pros at impromptu snowball fights!).

Julia’s bright smile and Carter’s playful energy made every shot feel candid and natural. From their quiet moments on a wooden bench to twirls in the open fields, every scene felt like it came straight out of a winter fairytale.

By the end of the session, my camera was freezing, my fingers were numb, but my heart? Completely full.
